Prior to Lynnette Upchurch being appointed as Ms. Merrick’s care provider, Ms. Merrick had been a victim of physical, sexual and financial abuse. Ms. Merrick had been moved from one assisted living facility to the next. She had been transferred and admitted to most if not all psychiatric wards within the Maryland healthcare systems. Ms. Merrick was facing institutionalization.

Ms. Upchurch chose to take on a responsibility that very few would even dare. Ms. Upchurch is kindhearted, compassionate and extraordinarily patient.
